Medical malpractice is professional negligence by act or omission by a health care provider in which care provided deviates from accepted standards of practice in the medical community and causes injury or death to the patient.Cases of medical malpractice is easy to identify from a layman's view, but is hard to prove in a court of law. Because of this, all cases filed against health care providers who have been accused of negligence in the past were all dismissed.

What is Medical Malpractice?
In the Philippines, there is not legal definition of medical malpractice since there is no law that specifies such. However, for the purpose of discussion, we shall use the definition given by Wikipedia:
